We are looking for a kind, reliable, and experienced nanny to support a part-time working mum and her 2.5-year-old son in Highgate, North London.

This is a long-term role for someone who genuinely loves working with toddlers and enjoys creating a calm, nurturing, and well-organised environment.

Location:
Highgate, North London (nursery within 15 minutes’ walking distance)

Hours & Pay:
• 38–40 hours per week
• £17–£20 per hour (gross) – negotiable depending on experience
• Hours can be increased in exchange for a lower hourly rate
• Start date: Ideally ASAP, but flexible for the right person

Draft schedule (flexible):
• (Mon or Tue): 7:30–18:30
• (Mon or Tue): 8:00–17:30
• Wednesday: 8:30–17:30
• Thursday: 9:00–17:30
(Alternatively: Thursday half day & Friday half day – mornings)

From March, the child will attend nursery at least half days (Mon–Thu).

Responsibilities – Childcare:
• Nursery drop-offs and pick-ups
• Preparing and feeding homemade, nutritious meals outside nursery hours
• Keeping the child safe, stimulated, active, and engaged through creative play
• Caring for the child when unwell and unable to attend nursery
• Supporting emotional, physical, and developmental needs
• Clear and regular communication with mum regarding the child’s care

Responsibilities – During Nursery Hours:

(Child-related tasks only)
• Grocery shopping
• Cooking well-balanced meals
• Laundry and ironing
• Washing dishes
• Tidying and organising
• Light cleaning related to the child

(All duties are subject to discussion — flexibility goes both ways.)

What they are looking for in a Nanny:
• Clean, hygienic, tidy, and well organised
• Loving, caring, nurturing, and dependable
• Proactive and able to take initiative
• A natural with children and passionate about nannying
• Observant and attentive to a toddler’s needs

Nice to Have:
• Experience with potty training
• Willingness to do extra hours / weekends (paid separately, with notice)
• Experience with Thermomix or willingness to learn
• Pediatric or childcare-related training

Must-Haves:
• Valid DBS check
• Proven experience caring for toddlers
