This role is ideal for a warm, articulate, and intellectually curious professional who is passionate about children’s education, culture, and personal growth.

About the Role

This is not a traditional academic tutoring position.

The child already has a team of nannies managing daily care and multilingual exposure.

Your role will focus on intellectual, emotional, and cultural enrichment, helping the boy develop a love for reading, creativity, and the arts.

The family seeks a native (or near-native) Russian speaker with conversational English who can inspire curiosity, expand the child’s cultural horizons, and gently guide his manners and social development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the child’s holistic development through cultural, educational, and creative activities.

• Introduce poems, stories, and early Russian literature; foster appreciation for theatre, music, and the arts.

• Encourage reading habits and nurture imagination through intellectual play.

• Promote emotional intelligence, kindness, and age-appropriate manners.

• Collaborate closely with existing nannies to maintain a smooth, balanced daily routine.

• Create a positive, joyful, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements

• Native Russian speaker (or near-native fluency).

• University degree required — ideally in Early Childhood Education, or Teaching.

• 10+ years of professional experience as a tutor/governess, preferably within VIP or private households.

• Strong understanding of child development and creative learning methods.

• Cultured, well-read, articulate, and passionate about literature, theatre, music, and art.

• Intelligent, warm, emotionally stable, and excellent with children.

• Energetic, active, adaptable, and enthusiastic about child development.

• Conversational English for communication and travel.

• EU passport preferred (not essential).

• Experience in international households is a strong advantage.

Working Conditions

• Full-time or rota position (to be discussed).

• 5 days per week with flexibility.

• Live-in accommodation provided.

• Occasional travel with the family may be required.

• Start date: As soon as possible.

Salary

£1,200–£1,500 per week, depending on experience and qualifications.
